New Job

I haven't been here in ages. Been busy moving so I haven't had time to take any pictures. We still aren't quite settled in Charlottesville yet... we're in temporary housing till this Wednesday when we close and move into our new house. The movers are scheduled to bring our stuff on Thursday so I'll be crazy busy getting the house organized. In the meantime, here's a quick picture I took for Devin's new UVA website...

We've been working hard getting our house ready to put on the market, which is why I've been m.i.a for the past couple of weeks. Crazy busy. We finally got new carpets & as you can tell Devin worked on upgrading our patio/deck yesterday. Everything's coming together quite nicely... we should have the house listed by this Wednesday--yay!!

Another super sunny day so I took advantage of it to practice my backlighting. Think next time I'll try using a reflector & see if it makes a big difference
And I Haven't done a basic close up indoor shot in a while, wanted to make sure I still remembered how to do them-ha!

Here's how I took this shot... I filled the coffee all the way to the top, focused the camera on the tip of the mug. My settings: ISO 640 f/2 1/1000 Set the to camera to continuous shooting. Used a small round rubber ball, pressed the shutter and dropped it in and... voila!!

Even with all the snow on the ground the wonderful bright golden sun was out today. Makes me feel like spring is definitely on it's way

It's blizzard-ing here today and we're supposed to get about 10-15 inches of snow. I was going to try and go outside in this blizzard and take some pictures but it's way too windy, cold and snowy. So instead you get this... a cupcake we ate, because aren't snow days perfect to stay indoors & eat cupcakes!!
